For my husband and I narrowing down the choice of Real Estate Agent to sell our home was a difficult task, mostly because the agents in our area nearly all come with worthy credentials.

We chose Tony Aylmer from Century21 Beecroft for the marketing of our house at 10a Sutherland Rd Cheltenham because we had previous first-hand knowledge through the sale of a property in Pennant Hills of just how clever Tony is at marketing and then closing a deal. We also chose him because Tony sold us our first home in Beecroft 26 years ago and has garnered much experience over that time. As such, he gives realistic appraisals based on a broad knowledge of the marketplace and has broken the ceiling on many of the high end record prices attained in this area.

Tony outlined a preferred strategy for the marketing of our home at 10a Sutherland Rd Cheltenham, gave us as appraisal which he felt was realistic (which turned out to be 100% accurate), communicated all costs we should expect to incur which we also found to be most reasonable and then he began work on the marketing.

We were not disappointed. Not all agents realise the importance of reporting back to a vendor after an open home - Tony does this in his stride. At all times we were kept in the loop and Tony, Tina and Sinead worked tirelessly to ensure all open home enquiries were pursued and everything was reported back to us. Tony secured us a record price for a 3 bedroom home because he knew from his wealth of experience that he could attain this result. He also told us he felt delighted the young purchasers were also getting value for their money too which was rewarding for him.

It was a real pleasure having Tony Aylmer sell my 100 year old house. When we first bought it more than 20 years ago much of its character had been lost. Over time, I restored the house to match its original Arts and Crafts style and to suit modern living. Tony understood that and marketed the house on that basis. We had previously attempted to sell with another agent who tried to market the place to suit his agency’s ideas – effectively just another commodity – and failed. Tony sold the house in the first week for a price much more than we both expected. Most importantly the new owners appreciate the house’s heritage, and this is so gratifying. The best recommendation for any agent is that both the vendor and the buyer walk away happy, and this is very much the case here.
